REHABILITATION COUNCIL OF INDIA (RCI)
Full Time Course
REHABILITATION COUNCIL OF INDIA (RCI) FULL TIME COURSES – DIPLOMA IN SPECIAL EDUCATION
D.Ed Spl. Ed Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD): 2 year full time program.
Eligibility - 12th grade with 50%.
Classes from Monday to Friday (9:30 am - 4 pm); first and third Saturday (9.30 am -1pm) - theory classes and practical; 3 theory papers and 3 practical papers at the end of each semester.
Attendance - 80% required to appear for the final exams.

Fee may be paid by cheque (drawn in favour of “Spastics Society of Karnataka, Bangalore”) at the Accounts Dept. or also via Online Bank Transfer (NEFT). Please contact the Accounts Dept for details regarding NEFT.
BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN (BVB)
Part time Courses
(Classes only on Saturdays 9:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Eligibility: 12th grade for parent batch; Bachelor's Degree for general category
12 months part-time program for parents of children with special needs
10 contact classes in total; one Saturday a month; syllabus covers normal child development from birth to 8 years of age and early intervention for children with special needs
Work with 3 children and write their profiles; submit assignments
Write one theory paper at the end of the program
3 months internship
Certificate Course in Learning Disability (CLD)
Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree for general category
12 months part-time program
10 contact classes in total, one Saturday a month
Work with 3 children with specific learning disability and submit case studies; submit some assignments
Write one theory paper at the end of the program
Post Graduate Diploma in Comprehensive Management of Children with Learning Disorders (PGD - LD)
Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree with teaching experience; prefer teachers with experience
1 year part-time program; contact classes on every Saturday
Work with children with learning disability and submit case studies
Write assignments; present journal/seminar
Write 3 theory papers at the end of the program
Instructions:
You can obtain the application from the HRDT Department for Rs. 100/-
Along with the completed application form, you need to submit:
Photostat copies of 10th Std, 12th Std and Degree certificates (refer the courses section regarding eligibility criteria for each course)
2 passport size photographs
Please bring original certificates. These will be returned immediately after verification

DIPLOMA IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION 2021-22
Greetings from Azim Premji University!
We are happy to inform you that applications are invited for the second certificate programme (Embracing Learning Differences in the classroom – identification and support) for Diploma in Inclusive Education 2021, offered by Azim Premji University in partnership with Spastics Society of Karnataka and Ummeed Child Development Centre.
The Diploma in Inclusive Education offers to provide regular school teachers with the knowledge about inclusive education as a concept and practice, and equips them with skills needed to identify and work with children with disabilities in regular classrooms.
The Diploma comprises four certificate programmes of 12 weeks duration each. Each programme is offered in blended mode comprising online and face to face interaction. Participants have the flexibility of joining the Diploma programme or individual certificate programmes.
Successful completion of the four certificate programmes leads to award of the Diploma. The Diploma can be completed within a maximum time period of 2 years.
Each Certificate Programme (of 12 weeks duration) can also be taken individually, leading to award of a Certificate at the successful completion of the programme.
Participants taking admission into the second certificate programme and opting for the Diploma can complete the rest of the certificates (Certificate 1, 3 and 4) within a period of two academic cycles
Eligibility:
The Diploma in Inclusive Education is open to Teachers and Educators in roles such as School heads, Principals, School coordinators/Vice-principals, Special Educators, Counselors belonging to public and private school system.
The eligibility criteria are:
· Undergraduate in any discipline (Preferred)
· Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, and speaking)
· Minimum two years of teaching experience
