History

Spastics Society of India was founded in 1982. We have been an independent institution as Spastics Society of Karnataka since 1994. The Government of Karnataka granted the land on which our campus is located. This magnificent tree of many services, interventions, and programmes grew from a small seed into a banyan tree with columns of aerial roots that aid thousands of children with developmental problems. At the main campus, as well as various sub-centres and associated centres, we presently serve 6000 children each year.

The community, governing body, professionals, parents and volunteers, as well as the children's efforts, have all contributed to the development of this seed into a splendid banyan tree.

To date, we have served over 100,000 children and families.
