Early Intervention & Special Education

  • Individual intervention sessions were conducted by a trans-disciplinary team. Parents have been trained on child behaviour, communication, self help skills and counselled in child management.

 

  • At the Joyful Learning Centre, Individual Education Plans (IEP) were discussed with the parents. These plans were reviewed and modified for each of the children during the course of the year. Home visits were conducted for new children.

 

  • On completion of the curriculum, children were referred to the Centre for Special Education (CSE) and to mainstream and special schools in Bangalore.

 

  • Children along with the mothers, enthusiastically participated in all the events held at SSK.
