The Family Support Services, a team of dedicated Medico Social Workers is the first contact point for families with children having special needs.

The unit counsels and provides guidance to the families regarding the processes for diagnosis and further corrective actions.

Admissions to the school, availing of Government schemes and services and referrals for services outside SSK are also done through this department.

In order to ensure comprehensive diagnostic services and guidance to the parents, the department coordinates various inter disciplinary discussions and case conferences.

The unit manages clinics for the doctors and the appointments of 16 professionals including therapists and special educators.
